This month we caught up with Director and Head of HR, Tony!

When did you start here?

I started working here in 2001.

What is your role here?

I am a Director and my main duties include managing health and safety, HR, and the office infrastructure. I also do a bit of account management and deal with stock management.

I generally assist with the dispatch of goods and purchasing, and from time to time administer the quality management system.

What three words would you use to describe your role?

Varied, busy, and interesting!

What did you do before working here?

I started working here whilst studying A levels at Barnsley College. I decided that studying was no longer something I wanted to do, and got the opportunity to work full time for the company, which I gladly accepted.

What is your favourite thing about working here?

The friendly working atmosphere!

How do you wind down after work?

After work, I like to spend time with my children and then once they have gone to bed settle down to watch some sport on the TV.

Finally, what is one thing about yourself that your colleagues don’t know…

I was once on Songs of Praise on the BBC as part of a Dickie Bird (the cricket umpire) feature programme.
