We’ve had a chat with EntrySign Business Support Assistant, Jodie!
When did you start here?
I started on the 16th of April 2018.
What is your role at EntrySign?
I am a business support assistant, so my job varies from day to day. Some days I can be getting on with tasks such as contacting existing customers regarding their warranty renewal and assisting with the help desk. I also help out with booking EntrySign installations for new customers. On other days I can be contacting potential new customers and many other things to assist with sales.
What three words would you use to describe your role?
Busy, productive and social!
What did you do before working here?
I worked in my very busy local pub for 3 years. I did a bit of everything at the pub, I was very shy at the start, nervous to interact with the patrons, but was soon opening and closing, changing barrels, and dealing with any rowdy customers. We always had a laugh – the landlord at the time treated us like family, not just staff.
What is your favourite thing about working here?
I would probably say the people I work with. I feel like I get on with everyone in different ways and everyone is friendly!
How do you wind down after work?
It depends on the weather. If it is sunny, I like to go for evening walks, or if it’s raining, a chilled-out Netflix night in.
Do you have a favourite film?
That’s a tough one! I have a mixture, from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty to sci-fi films such as Interstella or The Martian.
Finally, what is one thing about yourself that your colleagues don’t know?
That’s a tricky one as I’m quite open with a lot of things. I’ve abseiled into a slate mine at 110ft with the Prince’s Trust, done a 14,000ft skydive and 100ft net drop. Although these are all very high, I’m terrible with heights!
