The Challenge
After hearing recommendations, The Royal Alexandra and Albert School decided to delve further into EntrySign, our advanced visitor management and staff sign-in system. Already proficient users of electronic visitor management systems, the school were looking for an alternative to their existing system; needing a solution which would strengthen the security and safeguarding of their vast grounds whilst minimising administrative duties.
Why EntrySign?
After receiving a free demonstration and a thorough explanation of our system from our experts, the recommendation of EntrySign lived up to expectations and fulfilled the school’s needs, they “felt it was the perfect solution”.
With stunning grounds, extensive facilities and first-class accommodation, it was imperative for the school to have vigilance across their campus to safeguard pupils and keep their premises secure. Opting for EntrySign provided The Royal Alexandra and Albert School with a safe and trusted sign-in system, allowing them to monitor movement at different locations across their premises.

The Solution
Strengthening levels of security and maximising their ability to safeguard students, the school opted for 4 EntrySign systems across their site. With 2 desk-mounted and 2 wall-mounted systems, they could choose solutions that work with their spaces, perfectly complementing the existing surroundings.
The school has now chosen to expand their solution by adding a kiosk and an EntryScan Nano at their sixth-form site. This makes monitoring movements more convenient across their expansive site and provides access to more reliable student attendance data.
Enhancing Security and Safeguarding
The system accurately records the details of every visitor, including photo identification, which helps us maintain a secure environment. In the event of an emergency, we can quickly generate a report of all on-site personnel, ensuring that everyone is accounted for. This feature has bolstered our emergency preparedness and response protocols.

The Royal Alexandra and Albert School state,
“Security has been significantly enhanced since the introduction of EntrySign”.
Students’ security and safeguarding are of paramount importance and the use of EntrySign ensures these levels are thoroughly and consistently met.
The visibility of site visitors, both past and present, allows the vast campus grounds to be consistently monitored and ensures only authorised and known visitors are on-site grounds at any given time.
Which EntrySign Features Stood Out?
EntrySign is remarkably user-friendly. The intuitive interface ensures that visitors, staff, contractors, governors and students can use the system with minimal training. The touchscreen display is clear and responsive, making the check-in process quick and straightforward. The system also supports multiple languages, which is a great asset for our diverse community.
The system is highly customisable, allowing us to tailor it to our specific needs. We can set up different check-in workflows for various types of visitors (parents, contractors, etc.) and adjust settings to comply with our safeguarding policies. The flexibility of EntrySign ensures that it adapts to the unique requirements of our school.

Integrations With Existing Systems
Writing back attendance marks for students signing in late, via our integration with their MIS system, SIMS, allows pupils’ whereabouts to be known and accounted for. This also benefits safety in the event of evacuations, which the school manages through our web app, EntrySign LIVE.
Accessible via any device with an internet connection, EntrySign LIVE provides a real-time fire roll call, allowing the school to easily mark their staff, students and visitors as safe. EntrySign LIVE can also highlight those requiring assistance and ensure essential documentation is on hand, such as fire risk assessments.
Gareth said,
EntrySign seamlessly integrates with our existing MIS platform and access control systems. This has streamlined administrative tasks, such as visitor badge printing and data synchronisation. The automated notifications for host staff members upon visitor arrival are particularly useful, improving communication and efficiency.
The Results
The Royal Alexandra and Albert School’s staff, students and contractors can now benefit from maximised security and seamless sign-ins.
The implementation of EntrySign at the Royal Alexandra and Albert School has been a resounding success. It has enhanced our security, improved administrative efficiency, and provided valuable data insights, all while being user-friendly and environmentally conscious. We highly recommend EntrySign to any educational institution seeking a comprehensive and reliable visitor management solution.
